By accessing or using the EngaugeLaw website (the “Site”) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services. These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access the Site.
About EngaugeLaw
EngaugeLaw is a legal marketing agency and a division of ion8 Inc. We provide full-funnel digital marketing services, including SEO, GEO, and AEO, exclusively to law firms and legal professionals. EngaugeLaw is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Use of the Site
You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable Canadian federal or provincial laws or regulations
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems
- Introduce any malicious code, viruses, or harmful material
- Reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any portion of the Site without our express written permission
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and service descriptions, is the property of EngaugeLaw or ion8 Inc. and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without prior written consent.

Service Engagements
Project-Based Model
EngaugeLaw provides digital marketing services on a fixed-term, flat-fee basis. Each engagement covers a defined scope of services for a specified duration (for example, six months of marketing services), as set out in a separate written Service Agreement between EngaugeLaw and the client.
Payment
The full project fee is due and payable upfront before the commencement of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing. EngaugeLaw reserves the right to withhold commencement of work until payment is received and cleared.
Scope of Work
Services delivered under each engagement are limited to those expressly described in the applicable Service Agreement. Any work requested outside that scope may be subject to a separate fee and agreement.
Project Term and Renewal
Each engagement runs for the duration specified in the Service Agreement. Upon expiry of the project term, continuation of services, if any, will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and must be confirmed in a new or amended written agreement. EngaugeLaw does not commit to automatic renewal of services.
Early Termination
If a client wishes to terminate an engagement before the end of the agreed project term, the full project fee already paid is non-refundable unless otherwise expressly stated in the Service Agreement. EngaugeLaw will complete deliverables to the point of termination and provide reasonable transition support.
Conflict with Service Agreement
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a signed Service Agreement, the Service Agreement prevails.
Third-Party Tools and Platforms
Our services may involve the use of third-party platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Clio). Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms of service. EngaugeLaw is not responsible for changes, outages, policy updates, or algorithm shifts by third-party platforms that affect campaign performance or results.
Data Attribution
The city and region list used by the Site’s AI visibility check is derived from data published by GeoNames and used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. The data has been modified: city, region, and country names were combined into single labels, text was normalized, and duplicate entries were removed.
No Guarantee of Results
Digital marketing outcomes depend on many factors outside EngaugeLaw’s control, including search engine algorithms, platform policies, market conditions, and the client’s own business operations. EngaugeLaw does not guarantee specific results, rankings, leads, or revenue outcomes from its services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. EngaugeLaw does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EngaugeLaw and ion8 Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a service engagement shall not exceed the total flat fee paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EngaugeLaw, ion8 Inc., and their respective directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Active project engagements will not be materially affected by changes to these Terms mid-project without client notice.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
